Ram Rahman (b. 1955)

Ram Rahman is an Indian photographer, curator, and activist. He is known for his contributions to the fields of visual arts, particularly photography, and his involvement in cultural and social activism.

Ram Rahman is the son of the renowned Indian architect Habib Rahman and renowned Indian classical dancer Indrani Rahman. He studied physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before returning to India and becoming involved in photography and the arts.

As a photographer, Ram Rahman has captured a wide range of subjects, including street scenes, portraits, and social issues. He is also associated with the Safdar Hashmi Memorial Trust (SAHMAT), an organization dedicated to the promotion of secularism, pluralism, and cultural expression. Rahman has curated numerous exhibitions and has been involved in various cultural initiatives.
