Laxma Goud (b. 1940)

Laxma Goud is a renowned Indian artist known for his contributions to contemporary Indian art. He hails from the state of Telangana in India. Laxma Goud is a versatile artist, working in various mediums such as painting, printmaking, and sculpture.

His works often explore themes related to rural life, traditional Indian culture, and sensuality. He is known for his bold and expressive style, often depicting erotic scenes from rural life, village rituals, and sensuous figures.

Goud received his diploma in drawing and painting from the Government College of Fine Arts and Architecture in Hyderabad. Later, he pursued further studies in mural painting at the M.S. University in Baroda. Laxma Goud has been involved in teaching and has played a significant role in the development of contemporary Indian art. He has been associated with the Faculty of Fine Arts at M. S. University as a lecturer.
